Biography
Studies of law, economics, social sciences and statistics at Universities Halle, Potsdam, Warwick and European University Institute (Florence). He started his job at the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) in 2001 as Scientific Administrator for Economics and Social Sciences and became Head of Unit for Social Science and Humanities from 2004 to 2014. Since 2008 he is Head of the Strategic Department, especially dealing with the topics of research policy, research evaluation, research statistics, research documentation, Open Science, research integrity and ethics,
