On April 11, 2024, the conference “Research Assessment and Career Paths for Researchers: National Recommendations for Austria in the Context of the European Research Area” organized by uniko and OSA took place in Vienna.
Which career paths can scientists develop along in the future? How can permeability between sectors and international mobility be supported? How do universities assess quality in appointment procedures? These topics were discussed with national and international experts and stakeholders in the field of academic careers as well as researchers. The focus was on the presentation and discussion of the national recommendations of the working group of the Austrian University Conference on career paths in science and research assessment, which were developed with experts from the higher education sector.
